Game Description

In a world where the bank controls the economy to a much higher degree than normal, the bank prides itself in being the centralized control for the flow of money. They see an individual's net profit as a threat if it gets too high, purely because they want to be the sole entity that has influence over the economy. While the economical/societal structure in this country allows for individuals to create their own businesses and sell products, the bank has done as much as they can to prevent individuals from achieving enough financial literacy to make significant profits.

Enter the player character and his father. The player character’s father is a failed businessman after the bank took measures against him that prevented his business from growing. Now that he’s too old to continue his work, he imparts the player with all of his knowledge in hopes that the player can “break the bank”. The bank is so overconfident that they’ve only allocated a limited amount of space to hold physical cash for each person. Thus, to “break the bank” means to overfill your allotted space with so much cash that it breaks out of its containment.

Throughout the player’s journey the bank will experience its first break and begin to impede the player’s growth in the following ways:

  • Increasing property tax
  • Introducing and increasing sales tax
  • Decreasing a product's likability

Some Tips to break the bank quicker ;)

  • Keep adjusting your product's price every couple ticks after you initally set it to test out the balance between price, supply, and demand.
  • Every time you break the bank you should either:
    • Liquidate all your assets and create a new product with more resources
    • OR readjust your current setup to dodge the increases in property/sales tax
    • OR do both :)
